If you examine it closely, however, the real blessing - via Etsy - is you: my friends, my fans, my customers. And to say thank you for your wonderful support these last five years and to celebrate, I am having one of my infamous give-aways.
The grand prize is a piece I made last year, using one of Kristie Roeder of Artisan Clay's fantastic cabochons:
That's just the grand prize, which will be drawn first. There's more:
I will also have my trusty random number generator draw 10 names for gift certificates totaling $220:
2 - $10 Sand Fibers Gift Certificates
2 - $15 Sand Fibers Gift Certificates
2 - $20 Sand Fibers Gift Certificates
2 - $25 Sand Fibers Gift Certificates
1 - $30 Sand Fibers Gift Certificate
1 - $50 Sand Fibers Gift Certificate
The winners can use these gift certificates in my Etsy store or to order a custom item. Or, because I will make the gift certificate transferable and without expiration date, you can give the certificate as a gift. The gift certificates cannot be used in conjunction with any Sand Fibers coupon codes nor can they be used in a 3 for 2 pattern purchase.
The "Rules"
To enter the drawing for these prizes, you can do one or more of the following. Please note that to take full advantage of these you must leave a separate comment for each in order to get more than one entry into the drawing.
- Leave a comment here telling me what you would get with a $50 Sand Fibers gift certificate. (Don't worry: I won't hold you to your selections if you win.)
- Blog about this give away and leave a comment here with a link to your blog post.
- Twitter about this give away and leave a comment here letting me know you did. Be sure to reference @SandFibersRedux in your tweet.
- Link to this post on Facebook and leave a comment here letting me you know you did.
If you do all four of these things, you will leave four separate comments and have four separate chances to win. You could, of course, choose to just do one of the four, or two, or three...and that's okay as well. Just enter!
Entries/comments must be made by midnight on Sunday, March 6. I will use my trusty random number generator to determine the winners on Monday morning and will announce the winner on this blog later that day.
Good luck! Now be well and get going (but only after you leave your comment)!

I get to be the first commenter! And I mostly want to say Happy Etsy-Versary!!! It's because of Etsy that I can call you my friend and cosmic sista! ;-)
ReplyDeleteHi Carol!
ReplyDeleteIf I won a $100 gift certificate I would use it to purchase a few patterns for myself that I have been wanting to get for sometime now. I would also use it to purchase some patterns for a good friend of mine who has been unemployed for sometime now and can't afford to bead. She could take beads from my bead stash and just enjoy beading one of your beautiful patterns, without worrying about the cost. It would be a gift that could, Pay it Forward. Thanks for doing this, for being such a fun and entertaining FB friend and most of all thanks for your creative spirit. Congrats on your 5th anniversary!
I am the second but that is not always that bad ... My second marriage is sooo much better than the first LOL
ReplyDeleteWe have quite some things in common, such as Germany :-)
and the love of Peyote ...
I would know what to do with your gift. Do not worry about that one. So leaves me with congratulate you with your success on every level in your life !
Greetings
Sigrid
I posted the the link on Facebook! Thanks again!
ReplyDeleteHello!!!
ReplyDeleteI first discovered you on Etsy - so I cannot say anything bad either.....LOL

Oh, and of course this is going on FB too!
ReplyDeleteHappy 5th Etsy Anniversary! Ok, if I had $100 to spend in your shop, it would be very hard to pick what to get...but I would probably choose some of the rope wraps...I love the idea of those...I would get as many as I could get with $100 in different colors and then maybe I could add a mosaic pendant to them...or some kind of ceramic dangle...or wait, maybe I would get a turquoise cuff and a rope wrap...hmmm...I don't know...it would be a fun problem to figure out!
ReplyDeleteI just posted a link on my facebook about this giveaway!
ReplyDeleteI posted this on Facebook! Congrats on 5 years!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on not only being around for 5 years, but also being such a huge success! I definitely am thankful for your being on Etsy - it's brightened my life, both from your lovely work and from tales of warmer climates;)
ReplyDeleteI'm not entirely sure what I'd get with the gift certificate. I'd probably put it towards one of your many gorgeous necklaces. You never woulda guessed, right? :D
Diligently shared on Facebook:)
ReplyDeleteCongrats on 5 years! Yes, I agree that etsy has treated you well! If I won a $50 gc I would order a blooming bead pendant because I would rather you make one than me!
ReplyDeleteHappy Etsy-versary! I would probably put the money toward your Totally Turquoise Architecture cuff.
ReplyDeletehttp://www.etsy.com/listing/67974595/endless-blooming-tide-pendant-2559 I love your blooming beads, this would be my choice to buy with a gift certificate. Congrats on 5 years on ETSY. It has been a pleasure to meet you through the internet and watch you produce such gorgeous work. You even inspired me to do my first large peyote cuff for my sister this year for Christmas and she loved it :)
ReplyDeleteLove your Amazonian Bronze Peyote Cuff and Blooming Beads. I would definitely be purchasing those if I won. I am also posting to Facebook. Congrats on 5 years. The first piece I beaded was your pattern that I found in a beading magazine a couple years ago, turquoise and copper peyote bracelet. Love it.
ReplyDeleteWhat would I get with a $50 gift certificate? I really like that Tangerine Ripples bracelet. And about 50 other ones you have.
ReplyDeleteHappy Etsy-versary, Carol! You and your work are truly an inspiration to many, many, many people. You know what I would get with a $50 gift certificate? Patterns, patterns, patterns and more patterns. (Or maybe another kit as a gift for a friend, LOL!)

ReplyDeleteAs usual, everything is so beautiful, Carol. Congratulations on five years of Etsy! Being addicted to earrings, I would probably get the Simply Elegant Woven Earrings and Edged in Red Peyote Triangle Earrings. Thanks for counting me in.
ReplyDeleteBeadwork, the type I don't do for myself, is how a $50 Sand Fibers gift certificate would be used. I might even just close my eyes and pick.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the 5 years.
Happy etsy-versary!
ReplyDeleteI should use the $50 to buy a couple of patterns, but I almost never get around to making projects for *me*, so it would be much smarter to get the Tiny Metallic Swirls Cuff, which I adore.
Hi Carol!! Glad Etsy has been so good to you. I LOVE that place!!
ReplyDeleteChoose me Mr. Random Man and I will choose a bracelet, or a bunch of patterns..you never know.
Carol
I posted a link to your blog on my facebook page. My etsy shop is KRDesigns11. Congratulations on your accomplishment!

ReplyDeleteIf I won a gift certificate I would put it towards some of your wonderful patterns. I have always wanted to try the triangle peyote pendants. I was taught beadwork by my Mother (RIP) and many techniques I am self taught. I always love trying new things and have admired your artwork and patterns for quite some time but, haven't been able to purchase them as I am an unemployed single mom.
ReplyDeleteI have shared a link to this post on my Facebook wall.
ReplyDeleteWhat a nice way to celebrate your anniversary! I've always loved your peyote cuffs, but have never tried to follow a peyote chart. I think one of those would have to be my choice for the certificate.
ReplyDeleteOh, so hard to pick! I love those corrugated bracelets so that would have to be my pick -- either of them are so awesome! Thanks for having this contest!
ReplyDeleteYour grand prize necklace is absolutely divine!!! I love it!!
ReplyDeleteIf I won a $50 gift certificate...i would choose the Southwest Triangles choker AND Triangle with Attitu(b)e in Black!!!
