There's something circular in blogging about a blog post about my blog. But I love circles, as you well know by now, so....
A few weeks ago, I was contacted by Ray Hemachandra from the Jewelry/Beading division of Lark Crafts, asking if I'd be interested in giving him an interview for their website's new Blogger Profile series. Of course, I was interested! I sent my answers and then pretty much forgot about the whole thing.
Until this afternoon, that is, when Ray sent me the link to this...
Please take a look and let me know what you think ;) I'm just tickled/honored/thrilled about this.
Be well and get going!

Saturday Window Shopping with Sand Fibers
I was out in my yard this morning, replenishing empty hummingbird feeders, admiring my "fence of morning glories," when it occurred to me that you just can't ever have too many of those glorious (they have their name for a reason!) flowers. And so, I give you "morning glories," courtesy of some great sellers on Etsy:
May your weekend be filled with glorious blooms! Be well and get going! Be(ad) well and prosper!

Embellishing the Runway - Week 4
We've been hoping for some color in the winning looks on Project Runway, Season 8, and, at least on that front, weren't disappointed in Week 4.
Of course the circle design freak in me wanted to do a cuff in topaz with a red circle mimicing the headdress, but then I thought better of it. Instead, I let the folds of the dress inspire me to make a brand new Ripples cuff...
The beads have a wonderful reddish orange shimmer to them in the right light. That said, I realize that I've probably missed the challenge mark with this one. It still makes for a pretty cool cuff, however. So there! ;p
Be well and get going, my friends! (And don't laugh too hard at my expense, please.)

Saturday Window Shopping with Sand Fibers
My favorite rock band of all time, Jethro Tull, came out with this fantastic tune almost 30 years ago, not realizing how much more apropos it would be now, in a world in which cameras seem to be everywhere, from traffic lights to downtown streets:
This summer, I find myself, embarrassingly, caught up in the current season of Big Brother. eek! I was so sure I was over that, but with the recent "discovery" of The Real Housewives of New Jersey, I seem drawn back into (un)reality tv. Are you disappointed in me? Well, so am I. LOL
Watching, being watched, for these you need eyes (including those in the back of the head for teachers and mothers); for certain types of protection, you need them as well...so lets go find ourselves some...on Etsy, of course! Warning: these are not cute, large, doe eyes we will be exploring!

But you still insist on something cute? Ha!...

I must admit that today's post may be, in part at least, a reaction to finding out that a friend's children have started playing Christmas carols and Terry's telling me that the Halloween candy is at the stores. It's August! Time to watch my tivo'd episode of Big Brother...
I hope you have a wonderful weekend (you definitely have received evil eye protection in spades today). Be well and get going!
