A few of you have asked me about kits for my cuffs. Well, the first one will be available soon. I'm just waiting for more beads to arrive before I list it. The kit will include a printed copy of the pattern, a pdf file with the pattern on a CD, two beading needles, c-lon thread, and enough beads to make an 8.5" long cuff, all in a handy clear pocket folder so that you can store it easily until you're ready to work on it:

Tuesday's Pattern #14 (on a Wednesday)

For some time now, I have wanted to try my hand at a houndstooth cuff using more than two colors. The latest BAO color mosaic challenge (the mosaic to be revealed next week for that) was to use grey, yellow, and white in the same piece.  And I needed a pattern for Tuesday.  This perfect beading storm resulted in

Promises of Spring: An Auction for Tanya!

I've read about several artists holding auctions on their blogs to raise money for causes. That gave me the idea for another possible fundraiser for Tanya Boden of Aardvark Silver. Her surgery is scheduled for a week from now, which doesn't leave much time to come up with the required funds.

I am going to auction the following collaborative effort between me and Kristie Roeder of Artisan Clay.

Promises of Spring

The listed price for this piece is $120, but we will start the auction at $60. Bids can be left in the comments for this post. Bidding closes at noon Eastern time on Wednesday.  I will open up comments to everyone for the next few days so that noone will miss out on the chance to bid.  Please leave your email or some other way for me to contact you with your bid.  I will send the winning bid a Paypal invoice Wednesday afternoon. One hundred percent of the proceeds will go to Tanya and I will forward a copy of the receipt for the donation to the winning bidder as well. I will cover world-wide shipping on this.

Friday already? Wow!  The California/Arizona rains have reached us here in southern New Mexico this morning and so the skies are grey, the puddles are forming, and the winds are threatening...and the temperatures are dropping again.  After several days in the 60s, it was so easy to forget that winter is still with us.
