There's nothing quite like a "little copyright infringement" to get me moving.
A few days ago, the talented Sharon Erwine asked for permission to copy the following wording I use in my "for personal use only" patterns and in the listings (no surprises for the buyer) for those patterns.
By purchasing this pattern, you agree to using it only for your personal, non-commercial use. Purchase of this pattern does not give you permission to copy this pattern for your friends nor does purchase give you the permission to create something from this pattern to sell (even to a friend or at a charity event or your local craft fair).I appreciated that she asked for permission to use my words and was happy to grant it. She also added the following sentence to the notice:
Thank you for supporting your pattern designer's rights.I love it and the sentiment it expresses! And so I asked and received her permission to add it to all my listings and patterns. I will be editing the listings and the pattern files to include those words over the next few days.
Be well and get going! And "thank you for supporting your pattern designer's rights."
