I received 27 comments with over 50 suggestions. Thank you for taking the time to think of these wonderful names. It was really, really, really hard to choose, and I kept going back and forth between two suggestions. Finally, I just gave up.
I just gave up and combined the two:
Transitions: Coloring Outside the Lines
Melody had offered up "Transitions." Summer had suggested "Coloring Outside the Lines." Both of these resonated with me more than I can probably explain, but here are some of the reasons, in bullet form
- As a child I always had to color inside the lines in the coloring book. As a matter of fact, I even emphasized those lines.
- Lines are safe to follow.
- These cuffs are cut "free form," without pattern or lines.
- I'm transitioning back into using fabric with these.
- This line makes me bead away from the safe confines of my graphed (lined!) patterns.
- The "ruffled" edging goes outside the line/edge of the cuff.
- I am insanely linear, so coloring outside the lines is truly a transition. (The question is what I am transitioning to. No comment.)
- Color. It's always about Color.
(And for those sticklers, and I know there are those among you so don't deny it: I may refer to the line as Transitions, for short, but its official name will definitely include the subtitle!)
